Aims:

 

-         To analyse the energy problems and sustainable development issues

-         To promote discussions about the production-consumption of energy and the future alternatives.

-         To formulate school proposals on these subjects for differente levels and disciplines of the curriculum.

-         To foster a worlwide exchange of experiences.

-         To contribute to the change of behaviour patterns to favor saving and responsible consumption of energy resources.

-         The Energy: Sources, distribution, and consumption. The Energy system.

-         Renewable and non renewable energy resources.

-         Energy programs and sustainability. Environmental impact and new Technologies.

-         Educational approaches on energy matters for curricular development.

-         The energy debate and Sustainable Development. Pedagogical proposals for classroom activities.

-         Resources about energy and sustainability into the web. Materials for classroom and teacher training.

-         Plenary lectures

-         Pannels of experts

-         Exhibitions of bibliographical and technological materials

-         Communications and posters

-         Field trip to visit Galician Energy facilities.

 

Participation:

 

Complete text of plenary lectures and summaries of workshops, communications and posters should be presented before 30 April to be edited in a CD-Rom for to the participants. Deadline for free registrations 16th May.

Summaries of the papers should be sent by electronic mail to the below address with a maximum of 300-500 words.
